Celestarium
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
!! THIS IS A DEMO OF THE ENGINE !!
Celestarium is a highly stylized pixel art procedural generator featuring tiny celestial bodies such as stars, planets (dwarves, terran and gas giants) and moons. It is UTC-based so orbital periods, day lenght and other time-sensitive events actually evolve without you having to keep the game opened.
It was entirely written in python using pygame, numpy and modernGL and compiled through nuitka.
It's currently more of a prototype than a game, there is nothing to do except look through the seeds and get a few screenshots. It's a direct successor to my old planet generator, solsysgen. I do however have plans for this game.
